Geometry Dash is a hardcore 2D arcade game from RobTop GAMES, which in its dynamics is terribly reminiscent of Flappy Bird and similar arcade games. It infuriates you in absolutely the same way and also does not allow you to tear yourself away for a second until at least one ill-fated level is completely completed.

The game has 2 modes: practice, where you will have access to save points that you can create anywhere in the level, and normal mode, after a couple of minutes in which your nerve cells will be taut like the strings of a just tuned guitar.

The game does not forgive mistakes and even the slightest mistake will lead you to the very beginning of the level. Over and over again you will go through the same thing until you finally reach the finish line. Or your nerves will simply give in and you won’t switch to something else, less stressful. In order to make you want to play again and again, the game uses various “hooks” in the form of amazing soundtracks, which are played only in the normal game mode and, in case of the slightest error, start from the very beginning. Note that the developers have taken care of the ability to download these masterpieces directly from the application. There is a separate button for this in the main menu of the game.

The graphics in Geometry Dash have a neon style that, coupled with the electronic soundtrack, goes well with the pace of the game. The only thing that spoils the overall picture is the lack of synchronization of the gameplay with the musical component. Geometry Dash is not the rhythm game it appears to be at first glance. You can clearly feel the attempts to match the music to one level or another, but there is no complete synchronization between them. I would like to.

Control is carried out by simple taps in any area of the screen. The game responds well to clicks, but there is one unpleasant nuance - the delay. Of course, you can get used to it, but we couldn’t help but notice its presence.

Bottom line: Despite the disadvantages listed above, the RobTop GAMES project is definitely a demonstration that even a simple platformer from a graphical point of view can be seriously addictive. The built-in map editor and great soundtrack will not let you get bored for a minute. We recommend this project to all fans of high-quality platformers. Try it, you definitely won't be disappointed!
